Can you share some insights into your role at Tapkey?
Sure. At Tapkey, I wear two hats. Firstly, I serve as the E-Commerce Manager alongside my colleague, Annet. Together, we tackle customer concerns related to our online shop. Additionally, I take on the responsibilities of a Backoffice Manager, where I handle various tasks including travel arrangements, accounting, and overall office management.
What do you like most about your job?
Without a doubt, it’s the teamwork. Being part of such a harmonious and supportive team make me very happy. Moreover, I appreciate the autonomy my role provides and the variety it offers. Balancing routine tasks with diverse activities keeps each workday fresh and exciting.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
For me, it’s definitely the implementation of our ideas, wishes, and optimisations. It can be challenging to execute everything we envision smoothly, especially considering the various factors at play such as resources, timelines, and unexpected hurdles.
What sets Tapkey apart from other employers?
In the words of Tapkey’s values: “We are better together. We know that when we work together, we’re unstoppable.” This motto isn’t just a slogan; it’s a way of life here. We genuinely believe that by collaborating and supporting one another, we become an unstoppable force. It’s this culture of teamwork that sets Tapkey apart from other employers.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
Outside of work, I’m all about staying active and socialising. You’ll often find me cycling, hitting up an indoor spinning class, or at the yoga studio. And when I’m not breaking a sweat, I love catching up with friends over coffee and a good chat. Oh, and if you ever spot me at the bouldering hall, don’t be surprised if I’m doing more watching and chatting than actual climbing! 😀
What’s a funny fact about you that many people might not know?
I’m known as a whirlwind among my loved ones. I have a knack for buzzing around and getting things done in record time. Within minutes, I can transform from a tornado of cleaning the entire flat to a perfectly packed and ready adventurer. It’s like I’ve got a turboboost button for productivity!
Do you have a motto or life philosophy you’d like to share?
In German, there’s a saying “Das Leben ist kein Wunschkonzert” (translated literally: Life is not a request concert), with a similar meaning to” life isn’t always a bowl of cherries”.
But I firmly believe that we have the power to shape our own destinies. And let’s not forget about selective perception – it’s amazing how much we can achieve when we focus on what truly matters to us and filter out distractions along the way!
If you could meet any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Marie Curie – because she represented a strong, independent woman for her time who asserted her will. She grew up in a part of Poland that was under Russian rule, where women were not admitted to study, so she moved to Paris. After the accidental death of her husband Pierre Curie, she became the first woman to teach as a professor at the Sorbonne, and aside from that, she discovered the elements polonium and radium!
Three words that best describe you.
Partially very sarcastic.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
This week, it’s being able to have conversations with plants and animals, but ask me again next week, and it’s probably being able to swim incredibly fast and breathe underwater. The week after that, it’ll be something else…
