Describing their roles to a five-year-old, Andrea says, “I’m like a storyteller, sharing the cool things Tapkey can do”, while Chiara frames her role as making Tapkey “findable” at the right moment for the right customer. Given that our integrators can hail from various industries, the demand for our vertical solutions can vary significantly. This adds another layer to their challenge of effectively differentiating Tapkey from competitors and understanding the diverse needs of integrators across industry. Andrea aptly puts it, “Every day is different and brings its own kind of challenges, which is exciting and keeps work fun.”

Morning Rituals: Setting the Day, Boosting Creativity and Focus

A day in the life of a marketer begins early and with purpose. Both Andrea and Chiara start their workday by diving into their inboxes and setting the agenda for the day. “My typical workday usually begins by checking my emails and prioritizing tasks for the day,” says Andrea. During this morning routine, she prefers to keep things simple and refreshing with her go-to beverage: water. And occasionally indulges in an afternoon cappuccino. Chiara, on the other hand, incorporates a mid-morning matcha latte into her schedule, finding it to be a non-negotiable component of her routine. After settling in with their morning beverages, they add a personal touch to their routines by jointly planning out the day’s most important tasks. Helping them pave the way for a productive, creative day ahead.

Tools of the Trade: Fluid Communication and Task Management

In the bustling world of digital marketing, communication and organisation are key. The marketing team relies heavily on Microsoft Teams and Asana to keep everyone on the same page and track progress. “The marketing team at Tapkey collaborates and communicates through various channels,” Andrea and Chiara explain. With regular meetings to share updates, discuss ongoing projects, and brainstorm ideas, the team keeps their collaborative spirit high and their marketing initiatives on track.

Initiatives and Campaigns

On the frontlines of Tapkey’s marketing campaigns, Andrea and Chiara currently have their hands full with the launch of their Tapkey Connect Newsletter. They are also testing LinkedIn Ads to add a new touchpoint with new partners. They add, “Our newsletter provides tech insights, smart access solutions, news about our APIs, and updates on our events.” They invite you to sign up for it here. If Life Was A Movie: Marketer Edition

For a bit of fun, Andrea and Chiara were asked to compare their work lives to a movie. Their answers were as creative as their marketing strategies. Chiara chose “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” seeing her role as a balance between the mundane and the extraordinary. “One moment, I’m discussing project timelines, the next, I’m battling marketing challenges in a digital multiverse. Think of coffee as my superpower potion!” she explains. 

In contrast, Andrea humorously compares her work life to “Monsters, Inc.” “Much like the monsters in the movie generate scares to power their city, I generate excitement to attract customers and increase brand awareness,” she describes. She further likens the creative problem-solving skills shown in the movie to her need for innovative marketing solutions. “The movie and my work both involve creativity and teamwork,” Andrea concludes. These fascinating analogies offer a glimpse into their creative minds and dynamic marketing experiences.

Continuous Learning and Staying Trend-Savvy

Tapkey is not just a workplace, but also a learning ground. Regular performance reviews, constructive feedback, and opportunities to attend workshops, industry conferences, and events foster professional growth. Andrea and Chiara understand the importance of staying current with marketing trends and developments. Andrea shares, “I regularly read industry blogs, follow marketing influencers, and attend webinars and industry events to stay updated.” In the digitized world, knowledge of technological advancements like Artificial Intelligence (AI) is pivotal. Here, Chiara’s expertise comes into play. “For all things AI-related, Chiara is my go-to person,” Andrea acknowledges, appreciating the internal knowledge sharing at Tapkey. This underscores Tapkey’s commitment to its employees’ growth, fostering a culture that encourages learning and staying trend-savvy.

The Post-Work Routine

Once the day’s work is complete, both Andrea and Chiara have their unique ways of unwinding. For Andrea, family time, a walk, or a quick sports session works best. Chiara relaxes with a good book or meets up with friends.

In a light-hearted endnote, they share their favourite marketing buzzwords. For Andrea, it’s the fitting phrase, “Mobile first.” As she quips, “it’s funny because it relates to mobile access,” while for Chiara, the phrase “Thought Leadership” resonates. She explains, “It underscores the importance of positioning your brand as an expert in your field. It reminds me to aspire towards contributing value and fostering innovation.”
