Every single employee is responsible for the success of a company. What at first sounds like another business slogan is actually absolutely essential, especially for small teams like Tapkey. We currently have 13 individuals in our team – although we’re currently looking out for new, bright minds to join us. Have you had a look at our open job vacancies yet?
Our motto is that success comes to those who work together. And that has to be celebrated. However, the team itself should also be praised and rewarded. Numerous studies show that the nature of the work and salary are no longer the decisive factors that influence employee motivation. Much more important is a positive working atmosphere and a collegial relationship within the team. We also believe that it’s helpful to rekindle a team spirit in the company every now and then. We’ve done the following team-building measures and team events recently:
Breakfast Together
Even though we love our flexible working hours and working from home (with all its benefits), an unofficial rule has been established in our company: Wednesday is office day. This is because we have breakfast together on Wednesdays. We do this in the old-fashioned way: face-to-face. Without Zoom or Teams. While the fruit basket is available all week, it is served up with lots of extra goodies on Wednesdays. There are fresh rolls, regional spreads and muesli. After all, eating together unites people and strengthens that feeling of togetherness. Starting the day alongside one another also has a positive impact on communication within the team.
Team Events
Team events are motivating as you create positive experiences together as a team. We hold them at regular intervals. From classic after-work drinks and quizzes to jet skiing and wakeboarding: there are no limits to our creativity. Ideally, this makes for a lot of good conversation afterwards and a few laughs among the team. We also have a bit of banter: wakeboarding didn’t stop at a belly landing that afternoon. Our main goal here is simply to have fun together and try something new. Indoor skydiving also took us to new heights.
Summits
Alongside our more traditional team events, we also have summits where we all go to a different location for a few days. Our first summit took place in Mykonos. We used this trip to devise new strategies and develop our vision and mission together. This much can be said already: the Greek sun in Mykonos gave us a proper boost during the workshop sessions. In addition, our autumnal hike on the Jufenalm in Salzburg provided an excellent opportunity to work on our 2023 roadmap and generate ideas together. As a result, the team grew closer together, as we got to see each other in a different light outside the office. It’s definitely worth leaving the four walls of your office for this purpose.
These team events have definitely strengthened our bonds at Tapkey:
