Team Spotlight—Get to Know Gregor

He knows how to turn visionary ideas into great products—our Co-CEO and Co-Founder, Gregor. In the team interview, he not only talks about his job, his best career lessons and leadership philosophy, but also what he likes to do outside of work and which superpower he would choose.

What does your job as Co-CEO entail?

Bringing together all the loose ends and needs of various stakeholders. From employees, customers, and partners as well as shareholders and investors.

What do you like most about your job?

I am privileged to be involved in a lot of aspects of our versatile business. What I really enjoy is talking to different partners to steadily learn how our current and future platform offering can help to fit our customers’ needs.

What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?

That’s a good question, as building a company from scratch is a process of continuous learning. For sure, one of the best lessons I’ve learned is that hiring the right people is one of the top key elements for creating a successful company.

What separates Tapkey from other companies?

Tapkey has an incredibly efficient team and company structure. We managed to build a strong footprint in the mobile access platform industry without burning vast amounts of investors’ money.

What is your leadership philosophy?

Alone you may go fast, but together you go much further

What do you like to do when you aren’t working?

Spending time with my kids and supporting them in creating their own future (which is some challenge, as one wants to be Elsa and the other one will be Spiderman when growing up)

What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?

I love to build things out of wood.

If you could meet anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and why?

Having a talk with Steve Jobs would be really inspiring, as he managed to keep on track for big visions despite a lot of setbacks.

What is the one thing, you can’t live without?

Marzipan chocolate!

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Beaming myself anywhere in the world instantly.
