Smart access control is revolutionizing the way we manage and optimize office spaces. From humble beginnings to scaling new heights, the partnership of Officemanager and Tapkey paints a story of innovation, adaptability, and a dash of that “techy” charm. Officemanager combines software and hardware to enhance office efficiency, making it a valuable tool for single and multi-tenant offices. Officemanager is like the jack-of-all-trades for modern offices, offering a bunch of nifty modules to streamline the workplace. Join us for an inside look at Officemanager’s journey, the obstacles they’ve conquered, and the secret sauce that makes them stand out.

From Inspiration to Reality

Officemanager was born out of the parent company Entweder, which was known for its innovative office solutions. In response to the growing demand for comprehensive office management beyond furniture, Officemanager was created. Their mission was to simplify office management, and it is specifically designed for single and multi-tenant offices.

“We wanted to provide one system that makes office management as easy as pie and this includes smart access control as well.”, says Robin.

Under the leadership of Robin and his technical counterpart, Vincent, the company is rapidly making waves in the market. This year alone, they onboarded two major clients, broadening their horizons and amplifying their presence in the market. Moreover, they’ve also scaled their internal team, reflecting their commitment to growth and innovation.

Mobile Access as a Key Benefit

Mobile access stands as a top priority for Officemanager, recognizing the pivotal role it plays in modern office security and convenience.  The collaboration with Tapkey has allowed them to offer seamless and efficient mobile access solutions, addressing clients’ pain points related to traditional access methods like keys and cards. Robin emphasizes the significance of a robust access control system in office management. With Tapkey, the vexing issues of misplaced or lost keys and cards become a thing of the past. Instead, clients can effortlessly use their smartphones to unlock doors. This innovative approach not only enhances the overall user experience but also elevates security standards within office spaces.

“One of the most important things about offices is the way they handle access control. With Tapkey, there are no problems with lost keys or cards. Clients just use their smartphone to open doors easily.”, says Robin.

But there is more: With innovative features like sensors that provide insights into office utilization, Officemanager is redefining how we perceive workspace efficiency. Data-driven? Check. Hardware integrated? Double check. This is invaluable for understanding workspace usage patterns, leading to cost reductions, efficiency improvements, and aligning with ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) trends, emphasizing sustainability.

Easy Integration Process

When asking Robin why they choose to integrate with Tapkey, he highlighted the forward-thinking mindset and innovative approach—considering not only their needs and requests, but also providing a reliable platform that allowed for scalability. The integration process was exceptionally straightforward, particularly due to a dedicated developer maintaining constant communication with Tapkey’s support and development team while implementing the Tapkey Mobile SDK.

“Because of Tapkey’s well-documented API and Mobile SDK, as well as their exceptional support, the integration process felt remarkably smooth.”, mentions Robin.

A Flourishing Partnership with Tapkey

Robin considers the partnership with Tapkey to be of paramount importance and views Tapkey as a pivotal ally in their operations. Through Officemanager’s partnership with Tapkey, they have been able to provide streamlined and effective mobile access solutions that effectively address the challenges associated with conventional access methods. Furthermore, Robin highlights that what characterizes the partnership is close communication with various members of the Tapkey team.

“Our collaboration extends beyond mere transactions. We frequently engage in discussions to gain insights into the strategic direction of both companies. The partnership is marked by mutual respect and forward-thinking collaboration, making it a cornerstone of our success.”, compliments Robin.

The Future of Office Spaces

Looking ahead, Robin envisions a future for shared office spaces that combines fixed and flexible workstations, along with amenities like gyms, dining areas, and social spaces. The goal is to create a comfortable and productive work environment that feels like home, where employees have control over their workspaces.

“In a post-COVID world, offices should feel as cosy as home, equipped with the tools for balanced work-life layers of productivity, comfort, and fun”, he says.

Robin also touches upon the growing focus on ESG (Environmental, Social Governance) and the need for offices to be more sustainable. Data-driven insights will continue to play a pivotal role in shaping this future.
